Things to Do in Palm Springs with Kids This Summer

kids in a pool

Summer is here, and moms and dads across the desert are asking, “What do we do with the kids this summer?!”

Not to worry! There are PLENTY of things to do in Palm Springs with kids this summer. From dive-in movies and family-friendly movie screenings to indoor playgrounds, drop-in crafts, and even ice skating, there’s something for every little one to enjoy!

PS Did I miss any events? Drop me a note at info@marissawanders.com so I can add it in! This page will be continually updated with events and things to do for kids in the Coachella Valley this summer. Note this will not include camps as the intent for this list is things you can do with your kids on a drop-in/day-of basis.

PLUS I highly recommend checking out my Family Friendly Palm Springs calendar! Here, you can see events laid out by calendar view, which makes it so much easier to plan for the day, week, or month. Get the family friendly Palm Springs calendar here (and yes, it’s free!).

Library Programming (Storytime, etc)

Many of our local libraries are offering storytimes, crafts, and more all summer long! I’ve added many of these to the Family Friendly Palm Springs calendar to make it easy to see what’s going on each day.

Due to the volume of library events this summer, I highly recommend using the calendar to view daily events or using the Riverside County Library website to see events at your local library. Note that the Riverside County Library website will include all local Coachella Valley libraries except the Palm Springs Library and Rancho Mirage Library, which maintain their own websites.
