Breakfast Republic opened its doors in Greater Palm Springs in Summer 2023, and if you love decadent breakfast options, you’re not going to want to miss this new breakfast restaurant in Palm Desert.

You might already be familiar with Breakfast Republic if you’re a San Diego local, as this brunch spot is known for its rich breakfast plates, fun ambiance, and cheeky décor. Now, Palm Springs locals and visitors alike will be able to sink their teeth into this foodie favorite in the desert, too!
My first visit to Breakfast Republic was the week of their grand opening. Now, I tend to give restaurants a lot of grace in their first couple of months as they work out the kinks. It’s totally understandable that a brand new staff at a brand new restaurant might need some time to find their footing.
But this wasn’t the case at Breakfast Republic. Which says a lot. The service, quality of food, and friendliness of the staff was all incredible. And I was there on only their second day! Needless to say, I have high hopes for Palm Desert’s newest breakfast spot.
The first thing you’ll notice when entering Breakfast Republic is the cute–and cheeky–decor. Think “Breakfast and Chill” t-shirts, egg chairs that look like actual hard boiled eggs, and a picture of Christopher Walken at the hostess stand that, you guessed it, welcomes “Walken” guests.
Not only is the decor fun throughout (even the plates and glasses will have fun musings for you to enjoy while you eat), but the menu? Incredible. This is a breakfast spot for the seriously hungry.

The menu offers a variety of breakfast staples to please even the pickiest of eaters. And mom and dad, don’t worry–there’s plenty for the little ones to enjoy, too! Let’s dig into it.
The Breakfast Republic Palm Desert menu features a variety of benedicts, omelets, egg scrambles, pancakes, French toasts, plus vegan and keto options! You’ll also find all of the breakfast classics you could ask for, like Steak and Eggs and breakfast burritos, plus more unique options for the desert like Shrimp and Grits, Breakfast Jambalaya, and even Breakfast Mac and Cheese!
Me personally? I’m a Benedict girlie through and through (just keep that hollandaise coming), so I was super excited to see SIX varieties of bennies on the breakfast menu!
The dishes are decadent. Like, really, really decadent. Be sure to come with an appetite!
Is Breakfast Republic Worth It?
Without a doubt, this is a breakfast restaurant to put on your must-try list during your next visit to Palm Desert. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the food is generously portioned and delicious, too! What more could you ask for?
